Sending your Chilipepper in for Service
Most problems can be resolved with troubleshooting. Please visit our Troubleshooting page for common problems and solutions. Some of these steps are also included in the back of your Installation Instructions booklet.
If the issue was not resolved through troubleshooting, then please send your Chilipepper in to us for service.
In the event you need to send your Chilipepper to us, here is what you need to do - and some tips to help make the process easier...
Drain the water out of the pump by tipping it upside down for a few minutes prior to packaging for shipment.
DO NOT include buttons, T-fittings, hoses, etc. Return only the Chilipepper pump and the brass sensor fitting. Please DO NOT return the Black Plastic or Foam boxes. *If you do include extra parts you might not get them back.
Remove the brass fitting from the pump head and include it in the shipping box. Retain the white (translucent) washer as you will need it later for installation.
Print out the Warranty Service Request and fill it out. If your purchase was made directly from Chilipepper Sales, Inc then the sales receipt will be on file and you do not need to include it.
Mail the Chilipepper, Warranty Service Request form and any applicable payment to:

TIP: You can "Cap Off" the disconnected hoses with caps that are readily available at most hardware stores. Alternately, you can stuff a plastic bag into a 1/2" pipe nipple, turn off the shut-off valves to the faucets, disconnect the two hoses from the fittings on the Chilipepper pump, and connect them to the ends of the 1/2" pipe nipple. The plastic bag will prevent the hot and cold water from mixing. Your faucet's operation should not be effected by capping off the hoses using either of these methods.
TIP: The USPS Rate A1 box seems to be the least expensive way to ship. These boxes are available for Free from the U.S. Postal Service.
